“I believe that healing is most powerful when it honours the whole person — where you come from, what you carry, and where you're going. Cultural identity isn't a footnote in therapy. It's the whole story.”
Dr. Keisha Williams is a registered psychologist with over 14 years of clinical experience specializing in trauma, cultural identity, and intergenerational healing. Born in Jamaica and raised in Toronto, she brings a deep personal connection to the Caribbean diaspora experience — the beauty of cultural heritage and the complexity of navigating multiple identities in a new home.
Her practice is grounded in the understanding that wellness looks different for everyone, especially for those carrying the weight of immigration, racial identity, systemic stress, and family expectation. She works primarily with adults, Black women, and Caribbean diaspora clients seeking a therapist who truly gets it — not just understands, but has lived it.
Dr. Williams uses an integrative approach drawing from trauma-informed CBT, cultural narrative therapy, and somatic practices. She is also a certified yoga practitioner and incorporates body-based awareness into her work when clinically appropriate.
Growing up between two cultures taught me that healing spaces need to hold room for both — the jerk chicken and the therapy homework, the church community and the CBT worksheet. I bring my whole self to this work, and I invite you to do the same.
